I'm one who rarely has public QN's on, but I miss being able to see who logs in. Would there be a way that we could still be notified of new log-ins without having publics on, so that we don't have to keep checking the end of the log-in list?

Hmmm never thought of that.
I don't think I'd use it as I find those messages anoying, but, sure why not!
Another twist might be to have qns on but not get the logon or logoff messages.

There is already a filter to turn off log in and log out messages even if you have public qn's on. I used to use it during the quicknote quizzes that Dusty did. As far as being notified of new log ins without having publics on, this has been suggested previously and not really commented on by staff.
Becky, I have suggested this before, and none of the staff have ever talked about this being implemented.
Hmmmm, I do like this idea. Will forward this topic onto the staff list, and see what happens. That's all I can promise.

Which basically equates to: The CL's think it's great, but the coders (Chris and Jay), won't ever do anything about it.
Come on, when was the last time there was any kind of coding work done on the zone, much less work of significance?
I think that's why I gave up on premium memberships. I refuse to support the site when the admins themselves have no interest in improving the Zone.
Feature requests are great, but really, you guys shouldn't hold your breath for it. It probably won't happen in your lifetime.
